Skirmishes are Back!

Fellow Foam-Flingers,

We’re bringing back Skirmishes in full force this semester. They’re longer, more unique, and higher budget! Get ready to join us for some High-Intensity Nerf battles every other Tuesday from 6-8pm on the Reitz North Lawn.

We’re also going to be running some special skirmishes which will have unique game modes and themes, which we will be calling PvP Days to distinguish them from the regular skirmishes. But they will still be on Tuesdays from 6-8pm.

The first of these PvP Days is our Halo PvP Day, which will be next Tuesday, 1/18. Join the UNSC Spartans and choose a side, Red or Blue! Let us know you’re coming here: Halo PvP Day

COVID Policies for upcoming HvZ Events

Hi everyone! We’re so excited to see y’all at our upcoming Squid Game and Ragnarok Week Long Game. In anticipation of these events, we wanted to clarify our COVID policies for these HvZ games. If you are coming to the game from anywhere in Florida, you must either present a completed COVID vaccine card or a negative COVID test from within 5 days of the start of the event. If you are traveling from outside of Florida you must present a negative COVID test from within 3 days of the start of the event, regardless of vaccination status.

For our Ragnarok Week Long Game, the start of the event is defined as the day you pick up your bandanna. For in-town players, this will be the in-person rules meeting you attend, when you are given your bandana and BrainID. For out-of-town players, this will be either Friday night or Saturday morning, when you pick up your bandannas and BrainID from the moderators.

If you have any further questions, please feel free to message us through the website or on our Discord or Groupme.

See you soon,

Gator HvZ Mod Squad

Fall Event Schedule

For anyone who missed our post-game meeting this past Sunday, here’s a look at our planned Fall event schedule! The exact dates and times for the events are subject to change, but these are what we’re planning on!

If you’re new to Gator Humans versus Zombies, we run two different styles of events. HvZ games, like our Lock-Ins, Day Games, and Main Games, are a game of Nerf Tag where zombies try and tag humans to convert them into zombies while Humans defend themselves with Nerf blasters as they attempt to complete objectives. PvP Days and our Skirmishes are Player versus Player Nerf Battles in which individual players or teams battle for victory in game modes like free-for-all, team deathmatch, capture the flag, and more!

Finally, if you’re interested in joining our moderator team this semester for our PvP days or the Main Game, fill out a Moderator Application this week at the link below! https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLSf1aoVx6VFuSRdcLo245x3XO728wNJaHoUtOH7QMJdvASLhbg/viewform
