You almost escaped…

Thank you, my children, to everyone who came out to our Escape the Underworld lock-in game this weekend!

Throughout your quest into my realm, you’ve proven yourself to be truly courageous heroes. We hope you had a wonderful time at the event. Welcome to the armies of Hel!

Now I’d like to make you one last deal: head to https://forms.gle/fvtNcUcH7fB1sBwC8 to complete our post-game survey and I will then use your responses to create more exciting events for you to enjoy (please only fill out the survey if you played in the event). We’ll be holding a post-game meeting this weekend in the Reitz Union to go over the feedback from this survey in more detail and to play some games as a community (board games, jackbox, etc.) More information about that meeting will be announced soon on our Discord, Groupme, and social media. Calling all Landlubbers…

If you haven’t already, make sure you sign up for our HvZ on the Seven Seas weekend game! It begins next Friday at 7pm, and has mission at midnight, 1pm, and 7pm on Saturday. If you’ve never played HvZ before, it’s like a real life video game, where players fight to survive in a zombie apocalypse with nothing but their wits, Nerf blasters, and rolled-up sock grenades. You get to experience an evolving story with NPCs and cutscenes, solve riddles and puzzles, and participate in optional scavenger hunts and extra objectives for in-game rewards and power-ups. The game takes place across all of UF campus over about 26 hours and is an absolute blast. If you’re on campus for Summer B, or are able to get up here, even if just for Saturday, we’d love to fight against the zombie hordes with you!

Weekend Invitational Begins Next Friday

HvZ Players,

Your mission, should you choose to accept it, is only a week away. A mysterious client has tasked us with extracting the University of Florida’s missing tuition money from its safe on the zombie-infested campus. Housing is still available near the quarantine zone. If you need lodging, please message our Facebook page. Invite your squad—and ensure all players are registered at http://18.189.23.147/event/dead-army/ and bring their vaccine card, negative covid test from within 2 weeks of the game, or their UF campus cleared status.

You may have heard “Just Destroy the Brain!” Well, it’s a little bit more complicated than that. You MUST attend ONE of our three rules meetings to play in our game. These won’t be very long, less than an hour, and then you will be ready to complete your mission. And kill zombies. Lots of zombies. 

All of the rules meetings will be on zoom. Once again, you MUST attend one to play in our game. The times for each meeting, and the zoom link, are listed below:

Wednesday, 6/9 – 7 pm

Thursday, 6/10 – 7 pm (Followed by watching Army of the Dead at 8 pm for our HvZoom!)

Friday, 6/11 – 3 pm

All modified blasters and known potential risk blasters will be chronographed at the quarantine camp when you arrive for mission 1. More details to come soon.
